2019 Presentation for Young Arts Painting Competition winners
Saturday 16 March 2019

Today was the presentation for the Young Arts Painting Competition and we had an amazing turnout from the parents, siblings, other family members, school representatives and The Arts Society committee.  The library was brimming with enthusiasm and excitement as the fifteen winners (unfortunately one winner was unable to make it) learned what prize they had won and were presented with certficates and badges for the Highly Commended; certificates, badges and prizes for the Best in School and certificates, badges, prizes and medals for the First, Second and Third prize winners.

Congratulations to them all and also for the wonderful vivid works of art they produced.  The topic this year was 'Rainforests' which was obviously inspiring for the children as we had some amazing work not all of which could be displayed at the Library.  More certificates will be presented directly to the schools as well as badges for all the entrants.

We must thank the Chalfont St Peter Library volunteer staff, particularly Karen Dickson, so much for their generosity in opening the library for the presentation.  We are always happy to donate a gift which this year was a large box of biscuits to be shared as well as a book for the library stock.  The winning paintings will be on display at the Library for one month and will then be returned to the proud artists at their schools.

All the winning paintings are displayed in the Gallery on this website so do take the time to have a look as well some photos taken at the presentation for some happy memories.
