If you are interested in the Fine Arts and you live in the Chilterns, our Society may be for you.

We invite you to explore this website to find out more about our activities. The Arts Society Chiltern  has grown from a small group set up by Patricia Fay that first met in 1965 to study and enjoy the Fine Arts and antiques, to a thriving society of 300 members.

The original concept of promoting education, appreciation and conservation in the Fine Arts grew and led to the formation of many other societies and to the setting up of the national and worldwide NADFAS.

We meet for regular lectures on art-related subjects given by outstanding speakers; we have study days, day trips to venues of interest and cultural tours; and we have many volunteering opportunities in helping to preserve our heritage, as well as promoting Young Arts programmes. Come and join us!

Following the decision to re-brand in line with the new Arts Society, this website is now being updated.  As you know our name has changed to The Arts Society Chiltern though we will still maintain, with pride, reference to the fact that as CDFAS we were the founder society for NADFAS.  We hope that you will like the new look website and the new features that will be appearing.

Following the visit to Kew Gardens in July The Arts Society Chiltern will be having a rest through the summer but will be returning in September with a visit to Neasden Temple and a trip to Belfast even before our first lecture!  We look forward to welcoming you back.

Young Arts has been busy so you might like to check their section on the website for an update.

Please keep an eye out for the Volunteering section of the website as we are always looking out for members who would like to get more involved in the organisation of the Society.
